What we do
Smaller accountancy practices tend to grow through referral and reputation. That works, until it stops being enough. Hiring a salesperson is expensive, and most practices do not want a permanent sales function.
Proximo sits in the middle. We look for companies that may be rethinking who they work with, call them to find out what they actually want, and compare that against the practices we work with. Where there is a fit, both sides get the same overview: where the match is, and where the gaps are. Then we make the introduction and step back.
We also run bespoke campaigns for individual practices, where we approach companies on that firm’s behalf. We always say who we are, and who we are acting for.
How we are paid
Accountancy practices pay us. Companies pay nothing, at any stage.
There is no charge for an introduction a practice turns down, and none for a meeting that does not take place. A bad introduction serves nobody, so there is nothing to be gained from sending anyone volume.
A practice pays either per meeting, from £300 a meeting plus a monthly panel fee, or takes a Priority place from £1,000 a month for first look and more introductions. There is no tie-in.

If we have called you, it is because something public suggested you might be rethinking who you work with. We are not trying to talk you into changing accountant. The call is to find out what you want.
The accountancy practices pay us, not you. There is never a cost to a company we introduce. If we have called and it is not relevant, say so and we will close the file.
Every number we call is screened against the TPS and CTPS registers. You can ask us to delete everything we hold about you at any time, and we will. Our privacy notice sets out what we collect and why.
Who runs it
Proximo was founded by Tom Ventris, who has spent over a decade in senior business development across institutional financial services and fast growing start-ups, before turning that experience towards helping accountancy practices grow more predictably.
